Introduction
This office is coming under Water Resources Deptt., Govt. of Odisha and the office of the Spl. L.A.O.-Cum-R.R.O., L.I.I.P., Nuapada started its functioning w.e.f. 02.02.2000 at Nuapada by redeployment of staff from Upper Kolab Hydro-electricity Project. At the outset, the L.A.O. of Collectorate, Nuapada was declared as the Spl. L.A.-Cum-R.R.O. This office got approval of Government in Water Resources Deptt. vide G.O. No.19279/WR dtd.17.5.2000. Consequent upon construction of its own building at Khariar by the project authority, L.I.I.P., Khariar, the office was shifted to Khariar from Nuapada. As per direction of Govt. in D.O.W.R. the Office of Project Director (R&R) was bifurcated during 2011 for better administrative convenience.
Objective
Acquiring of land for Lower Indra Irrigation Project and payment of land compensation to the land losers.
Activities
Acquisition of land as per requisition of the project authority concerned and handing over the same to the authority.
